Winter nets start on Tuesday October 6th @ Robert Smyth.
6pm - 7pm Softball players
7pm - 8pm Hardball players
8pm - 9pm Senior players and juniors of appropriate ability
10 weeks up to Christmas including half term but excluding November 24th (due to parents evening).
13 weeks after Christmas including half term
The last week will be Tuesday 30th March.
2009 Costs:-
£30.00 for autumn term
£39.00 for spring term
"23 for 21" deal = £63.00 for paying for 23 weeks at the start.
Where possible we'd like players to sign up for the whole winter or at least by the term.
Collecting fees weekly is difficult to organise and we have to pay for coaching and venue every week.
Pay as you go = £4.00 per week.

Code of Conduct for Club Members and Guests
All Members and Guests of Medbourne Cricket Club will:
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all within the context of Cricket
  • Treat everyone equally and not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, religious belief, social background, sexual preference or political belief
  • Not condone, or allow to go unchallenged, any form of discrimination
  • Display high standards of behaviour
  • Promote the positive aspects of Cricket e.g. fair play
  • Encourage all participants to learn the Laws and rules and play within them, respecting the decisions of match official
  • Discourage unfair play, rule violations and arguing with match officials
  • Recognise good performance not just match results
  • Place the well-being and safety of Young People above the development of performance
  • Ensure that activities are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and ability of the individual
  • Respect Young People’s opinions when making decisions about their participation in Cricket
  • Not smoke, drink or use banned substances whilst actively working with Young People in the Club.
  • Not provide Young People with alcohol
  • Report any concerns in relation to a Young Person, following reporting procedures laid down by Medbourne Cricket Club
  • In addition to the above, all Club Officers and Appointed Volunteers will:
  • Hold relevant qualifications and be covered by appropriate insurance
  • Always work in an open environment (i.e. avoid private or unobserved situations and encourage an open environment)
  • Inform Players and Parents of the requirements of Cricket
  • Understand the ECB’s ‘Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children’
  • Code of Conduct / set of rules for Young People
  • Medbourne Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members.
  • Medbourne Cricket Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents/carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
  • Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Angus Clarke, Junior Cricket Coordinator
  • As a member of Medbourne Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:
  • Obey the rules of the club and play within the laws and spirit of cricket.
  • Be positive and accept responsibility for your actions
  • Respect the rights of other people and always behave in a polite and considerate way towards others.
  • Accept the decisions of coaches and umpires and do not argue with them
  • Play and train to the best of your ability
  • Attempt to play and train regularly and keep to agreed timings or inform your coach or team manager if you are going to be late.
  • You must wear suitable kit, including protective items, for training and match sessions, as advised by your coach or team manager.
  • Respect and encourage the achievements of others as well as your own
  • Use the premises including the playing areas and all equipment properly
  • Use correct and proper language at all times
