Hallaton batted first scoring 81 ALL OUT in 24 overs
Steve Lilley captain shared the bowling between the youngsters Jack Rose 4o 1mdn 6runs 1 wkt, Brad Downing , 4o 2mdn, 3runs 1wkt,
Fin Clarke 4o 1mdn 21runs 1 wkt, Ollie Barton 4o 1mdn 22runs 1 wkt,
Jimmy [The Stealth] Covill 1o 1mdn 0run 2wkts, Rich Matthews[ Maybe not quite so young] 2o 1mdn 2runs 1wkt George Norton 4o 1mdn 11runs 2wkts Dan Clark 2o 5 runs.
Good positive comments from the older section regarding our youngsters in the field good catches from Dan, Ollie, Fin, and Brad [watch out he's after winning the catching award that's 3 so far] and the Stealth getting down to one in the slips and Jake doing well behind the sticks, the fielding as always was exceptional
Top scores for Hallaton Nigel Clarke 24 Mike Measom 13 and captain Tom Chell 3 no after facing 24balls.
In reply MCC opened with Julian [16 rtd] and Jack R [36rtd] doing the damage well supported by Jake Noble 7.
The glory goes to Rich Matthews 3 no, scoring the winning runs and George's winning salute. Maybe the Stealth will regret wanting the honour as he refused a 2nd run making the scores equal only to be out for a golden.
Bowling honours Mike Wallis 2 for 10 Mike Meacham 1 for 17 John Anthony 1 for 7 and Nick Dearman 1 for 1 [Stealth wkt]'
The game was played in a good spirit even though it was verrrry ccccoooolllld.
Thanks must go to Steve's wife for the Tea and Ian Stevens for preparing the wicket.
