| Medbourne v Old Wyvernians
Without a league fixture, Medbourne hosted Wyvernians in a friendly. Batting first Medbourne were soon in trouble at 11 for 3 in the 3rd over. This was followed by a rapid 14 from Munro Davis but he was out with the score on 37 and this soon became 48-5. There was then an excellent partnership between Martin Jones (59) and Josh Haynes (42) which ensured that Medbourne posted a defendable total of 157. The wickets were shared by Lamb (3), 2 each for Howitt and Scott but the pick was J Robertson (8-4-21-2). When Wyvernians batted their openers put on 40 for the first wicket, Glay (35) and Scott (19) but when they departed the scoring rate slowed and the wickets fell regularly despite some dropped catches. Wyvernians were eventually all out for 135 in the 39th over. There was a wicket each for George Norton, Sam Noble and Davis with Haynes and Dan Clarke getting 2 each with the best bowling from Fin Clark (7-1-11-3). |
