Coaching

coach_picTraining for the children is on a Saturday morning starting 9.30am. Matches are organised and played on weekday evenings for the junior teams and on Saturday afternoons for the Mens team.  The juniors play all of their matches on the artificial strip which was relaid in 2007.

On a typical Saturday morning there can be 100 or more children split into various age groups and ability levels being trained by the excellent coaches and a willing group of parent helpers.

If the weather is really bad, then coaching is cancelled, however that doesn't happen very often.

Medbourne prides itself on the number of our more able members who are involved in playing cricket at higher levels both in District and County teams; however players of all abilities from total beginner to those with more experience are welcomed equally.

New members are always given a warm welcome by being paired with an existing member of their own age group.  Girls are particularly welcome to join us.

Club members are given the opportunity to participate in a team if they want to - there is no pressure at the club to play in a competitive environment.

Tea and coffee are available for parents who choose to stay during junior training.

We are always looking for parents to help with coaching on a Saturday morning, please contact any of the coaches to offer your services.
